Higher levels allow the QR code to be scanned even if damaged or covered (e.g., by a logo), but result in a denser code.
Quiet zone (margin) around the QR matrix. ISO specification recommends at least 4 modules for reliable scanning. Applies to image exports (wallet cards retain a fixed 4-module quiet zone).
A QR code generator that stays free
Put your logo in the middle of a QR code and keep it scannable. This page turns on high error correction for you, and the scan badge warns you if the logo gets too big.

Key Features
- High error correction (H) is already set, which leaves room for a logo

How to Add a Logo to a QR Code
Put your logo in the middle of a QR code and check that it still scans.
Enter your link
Type or paste the address the code should open.
Upload your logo
In the Logo section, choose your logo image. A square image with a transparent or white background works best.
Size the logo
Keep it small enough that the scan badge stays on “Scans reliably”. The generator warns you when it is too large.
Download and test
Download the code and scan it with a phone, ideally from a printed copy, before you share it.
Frequently Asked Questions
A phone treats it like any other code. The logo covers part of the pattern, and the scanner rebuilds the hidden part from the error correction data every QR code carries.
That repair budget is limited. Level H can recover up to about 30% of the code, and the same budget has to cover scuffs and glare, so a smaller logo is safer.
- Packaging, receipts and delivery boxes.
- Business cards and flyers.
- Table cards, shop windows and event badges.
- Print at least 2.5 cm (1 in) wide, more for anything read from a distance.
- Simple logos survive small sizes better than detailed ones or tiny text.
- Keep dark modules on a light background; low contrast leaves less room for the logo.
- Watch the scan badge while you resize the logo, and stop when it leaves “Scans reliably”.
- Keep the logo off the three corner squares.
- Leave error correction on H. Lowering it with a logo in place is the most common reason a code fails.
- Scan a printed test copy with an iPhone and an Android phone.
Your link and logo are processed in your browser. The logo stays in memory while the page is open, and QRCraftly never uploads or stores it. Saved style templates leave it out.
